The compounds found within cannabis (known as cannabinoids) are very similar to the ones produced naturally by our bodies. These cannabinoids have been observed to relieve the symptoms of various conditions by attaching themselves to particular receptors in the brain, thereby blocking or boosting certain signals. This can help bring calm to an otherwise stressful situation.

Hemp CBD is completely different from cannabis CBD. Hemp also derives from the Cannabis sativa L plant, and while it also contains THC, it contains it in volumes that are less than 0.3% by dry weight. Some governments, including the US, regulate the concentration of THC and permit a specific variety of hemp (called industrial hemp) that is bred with an especially low THC content. This is the reason why, when you type into Google “CBD oil for Sale”, you get hundreds of companies trying to sell you their products – according to most all of them, CBD oil from industrial hemp is 100% legal to sell online and ship to all 50 states.
Manufacturers are free to sell what they consider as the best form of hemp oil CBD extract. This being the case, there are a lot of companies taking advantage of the CBD oil demand thus are making products that don’t contain enough or any CBD at all. All they care about is making profits by sourcing the cheapest CBD oils they can find on the market.

While researchers are calling for more robust studies on the role of CBD on mood disorders, there is promising research that points to CBD’s role as an anxiolytic – which means it has anti-anxiety effects. Another study showed CBD to have antidepressant effects comparable to those of the prescription antidepressant Imipramine. We noted above that CBD increases levels of glutamate and serotonin – and it’s these same neurotransmitters that play a crucial role in mood regulation.
Edibles begin with a raw or decarb oil as part of the base ingredients. They can be any number of things, from chocolate to hard candy, gummies, even teas and coffee. This is a way to “sneak” cannabinoids in a fun way and can be delicious (the Koi gummies are so good!) but they are not an extremely cost-effective way to allow cannabinoids to boost your overall health and well being on a daily basis.
Unfortunately, it’s not always easy for consumers to determine which CBD brands and product claims’ are trustworthy. With the growth in popularity of CBD oil, new brands and merchants are coming out every day with promises to offer you the best, high-quality supplement. However, there are few regulations, if any, to help monitor and regulate these claims.
Dogs and cats are known for their powerful sense of smell. They typically don’t like having something new added to their food, making supplementing their diets to ease health issues challenging. However, CBD products for pets take that challenge into account. Developed by dedicated veterinarians, they’ve been designed to pass the taste and smell test.

That’s why, when it comes to purchasing CBD products, you need to know what to look out for before you start browsing. Do you know which companies have a reputation for producing low-quality versus high-quality CBD products? Do you know which lab results you should ask to see? Or which manufacturing certifications point to quality practices being adhered to? Make sure you do before clicking “Add to Cart.”

E-liquids offer a way to take in cannabinoids via the pulmonary versus digestive system. There is research to show that this allows the cannabinoids to get to work more quickly in the body. These products also start with a raw oil or a chrystallized version of CBD, known as isolate. Flavoring is added along with a carrier – which may be a combination of vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol or MCT (fractionated coconut) oil. These are all odorless liquids that produce vapor when heated, which allow them to be inhaled. We do not carry any E-liquids that include nicotine.
Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2013 – Amends the Controlled Substances Act to exclude industrial hemp from the definition of “marihuana.” Defines “industrial hemp” to mean the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of such plant, whether growing or not, with a delta-nine tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis. Deems Cannabis sativa L. to meet that concentration limit if a person grows or processes it for purposes of making industrial hemp in accordance with state law. ~ https://www.congress.gov/bill/113th-congress/house-bill/525
CBD, and any cannabinoid intended to be ingested, is a food supplement. With any food or vitamin supplement, it is always best to consult a physician before making a change. This is especially true if there are current prescription medications in your life. We are not physicians and cannot diagnose, treat, or cure any symptoms. It is not recommended that pregnant or breastfeeding women ingest CBD as there is simply not enough research to determine the impact to the child. With that said, all mammals can see benefits from CBD as we all have the same endocannabinoid system that cannabinoids like CBD can support.
Like any manufactured product, one of the best ways to ensure quality is to use high-quality materials. This is especially important in CBD oil because of the hemp plant’s characteristic as  a “hyperaccumulator.” This means that the hemp plant easily absorbs anything that is present in the ground that it was cultivated and farmed. If a hemp plant grew on rich soil, the resulting plant will be of high quality that can produce CBD oil in the same high-quality as well.
For some, having more than trace amounts of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) might not be a big deal, but if you’re being drug tested at work, operating heavy machinery, or fall into a number of other categories, you may want to keep the THC to a bare minimum. In order to qualify as a legal hemp product, CBD oil must contain less than 0.03% THC. Look for CBD oil certified to have low levels of, or zero, THC in them. Many reputable sellers do offer products that have absolutely no THC in them at all, so if you are concerned about keeping even trace amounts of TCH out of your body, it is best to look for those products and sellers.
